Since delivering our first order in Kuwait in 2004, we’ve grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.<p><br></p>Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!<p><br></p>Our philosophy is to make sure we do what is right for our ecosystem – our customers, our partners, our people, our riders, and the communities in which we operate. Since its inception in 2020, we have facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce.<p><br></p><strong><u>Role Summary</u></strong><p><br></p>Responsible for leading end-to-end, cross-functional, market-wide analytics projects, while coaching junior colleagues. A serial problem-solver and a great storyteller.<p><br></p><strong>What’s on Your Plate?</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Lead end-to-end analytics projects with all its phases: planning, exploratory data analysis, solution design, development (SQL) &amp; presentation (Tableau), validation &amp; testing, documenting and communicating the results with relevant business stakeholders</li><li> Coach and lead junior colleagues throughout all of the project phases. Make sure they become the best they can be in business understanding, planning and design, development, validation, and storytelling.</li><li> Communicate and interact with function heads and senior leaders to gather requirements, listen to and understand pain points, as well as communicate finding and results in an easy, elegant fashion and with excellent storytelling.</li><li> Owns the deployment of the different projects, ensuring the team follows the best practices from a data architecture and data engineering standpoint.</li><li> Align and be the PoC with the regional data team to ensure the team is updated with their new releases/solutions/updates and is making use of all their efforts and products.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>What Did We Order?</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> 5-8 years relevant analytical experience</li><li> Hands-on expertise and excellent SQL/Tableau skills</li><li> Capable of leading an analytics projects end-to-end, starting with requirement gathering, planning, design, implementation, validation, and delivery/communication/documentation.</li><li> Ownership: Delivers analytics outcome with great quality, ensuring great experience for end users.</li><li> Remains on top of the project at hand, to make sure they went the extra mile and explored all possible solutions – autonomously.</li><li> Excellent leadership skills: Being a role model for, coaching, and leading a team of data analysts. Taking initiatives and is a proactive team member. A helpful colleague.</li><li> Able to absorb/prioritize multiple tasks, have good sense of prioritization. Able to run through the different stages of a project seamlessly and without much back-and-forth. Shows decent, professional, friendly attitude.</li><li> Good knowledge with different business areas like Sales, Logistics, and Customer Experience Excellent business acumen, able to pinpoint pain points in different functions and opportunities to unlock growth and profitability</li><li> Humble, with a growth mindset. Always eager to listen, analyze, learn, and improve.</li><li> Excellent storytelling and communication skills: Able to run conversation with different stakeholders and can speak the business user language.</li><li> Understands the problem statement well &amp; takes notes. Able to present well the outcome of their work, document, train and guide other teams into using the final product.</li><li> Communicates results, deliverables, obstacles in a clear, structured manner. Excellent problem-solving skills: Have great ability to provide relevant, informed suggestions on the best solution design, as in what data will be gathered, from what sources, how will it be processed step-by-step, what should the final outcome look like and how it will be used by the end user, and is usually inclined towards rather actionable analytics. Able to get around technical obstacle and make it happen. Always able to come up with great scalable workarounds. Good at designing the ETL for those solutions and making sure they are deployed using the best practices.</li></ul>
