Duties and Responsibilities

Job Summary

Provides quality care to adult and paediatric Cardiac OR patients. Provides direct supervision and serves as a resource to other members of the team as allocated. Takes charge of the unit in the absence of the Charge Nurse.

Education/Licensure

Essential:  Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Nursing, minimum 3 years duration (Western, Saudi, Malaysia, South Africa) or Prince Sultan Cardiac Centre Diploma Program (Saudi).

Bachelor Degree of Nursing (Filipino andEastern Europe).

Essential:  Current licensure (RN) with a nursing governing body from the employee’s country of origin.

Essential:  License from Saudi Commission for Health Specialities.

Essential:  BLS certification.

Desirable: ACLS or PALS certification.

Desirable: Post graduate qualification in Cardiac / OR Nursing.

            Professional Experience

Essential: Three (3) years recent nursing experience, of which two years must be in a Cardiac Operating Room environment.
