This position will be responsible for assisting with the operati…<br><br>The Fuel Systems Technician will be based at Union III in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of Defense. This position will be responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of the fuel storage and distribution system to include bulk storage, supplementary storage, day tanks, and distribution systems for the generators. This position will report to the Fuel Systems Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.<br><br>DUTIES:<br><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. </li><li>Comply with all Environmental Health &amp; Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. </li><li>Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the site’s fuel receiving, transport, storage, and<br><br></li></ul>distribution, including:<br><ul><li>Fuels testing. </li><li>Operation of mechanical and electrical valves, pumps, and pressure gauges. </li><li>Drive a 7,500 gallon fuel truck. </li><li>Service Desk and work orders. </li><li>Logistics and warehousing procedures. </li><li>Operate light vehicles. </li><li>Prepare and submit detailed reports on fuel systems projects to the Fuels Supervisor. </li><li>Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. <br><br></li></ul>REQUIRED: <ul><li> Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:</li><ul><li>Two (2) years’ experience as a Fuel Systems Technician. </li><li>Experience with 50k and 210k bladder measurements and bladder repairs and operating and maintaining 350gpm gas powered fuel pumps, filters, meters, and fittings. </li><li>Experience operating Service Stations, including fuel storage tanks, operating and maintaining pumps, valves, and electrical systems to monitor flow and tank levels. </li><li>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</li><li>Ability to drive and operate a fuel delivery truck (up to 7,500 gallons). </li><li>Knowledge of the operation of Service Stations, including fuel storage tanks, operating and maintaining pumps, valves, and electrical systems to monitor flow and tank levels. </li><li>Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting fuel systems responsibilities at an overseas facility. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. </li><li>Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective. </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team. </li><li>Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change. </li><li>Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information. </li><li> Education: A high school diploma or GED. A vocational diploma in Fuels Systems or completion of certified training is preferred. </li><li> Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers’ license and valid truck driver’s license from Home of<br><br></li></ul>Record.<br><ul><li> Security Vetting: Already possess a US Government issued security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification or US Government clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract. </li><li> Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures. </li><li> Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq.
