This position will be responsible for utilizing resources to…<br><br>The Driver/Operator, Fire Fighter will be based at one of three PAE sites in Iraq and serve the Baghdad Life Support Services (BLiSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for utilizing resources to accomplish operational requirements and will report to the assigned Crew Chief or the Assistant Site Chief. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.<br><br><strong>DUTIES:<br></strong><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. </li><li>Comply with all Environmental Health &amp; Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. </li><li>Serve as a Driver/Operator for structural and airport Fire Fighter and HAZMAT responder on a scheduled rotation. </li><li>Participate in Fire and Emergency Services activities including: fire suppression, EMS, rescue, public assistance, fire investigation, fire prevention, pre-fire planning, Fire Company training, public education, clinical training and routine maintenance of apparatus, equipment and facilities. </li><li>Support Emergency Management functions as needed. </li><li>Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. <br><br></li></ul><strong>REQUIRED:</strong> <ul><li> Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: One to five (1-5) years’ experience as a Driver/Operator, Fire Fighter. </li><li> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</li><ul><li>Knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in Fire and Emergency Services, with the ability to maintain all required certifications and licensures. </li><li>Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports. </li><li>Exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. </li><li>Computer skills, specifically in use of Microsoft Word and Excel. </li><li>Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change </li><li>Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective. </li><li>Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team. </li><li>Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change. </li><li>Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information. </li></ul><li> Education: A high school diploma or GED. </li><li> Licenses and Certifications: </li><ul><li>Valid drivers’ license from Home of Record. </li><li>First Responder and CPR Certified. </li><li>DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard:</li><ul><li>Fire Fighter I</li><li>Fire Fighter II</li><li>Airport Fire Fighter</li><li>Telecommunicator I</li><li>Telecommunicator II</li><li>Apparatus Driver/Operator for Pumper, Mobile Water Supply and ARFF vehicles</li><li>HazMat Awareness and Operations</li></ul></ul><li> Security Vetting: Already possess a US Government issued security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification or US Government clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract. </li><li> Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures. </li><li> Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required. </li><li> Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by PAE and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment. <br><br></li></ul><strong>DESIRED:<br></strong><ul><li>Two (2) years’ international experience in challenging locations, preferably working in the Middle East, with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences. <br><br></li></ul>Experience working with PAE.<br><br>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
