<p><strong>Job Title: Case Manager (</strong>Report to<strong> </strong>Child Protection and GBV Team Leader)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Contract Type</strong>: Project-Based (Temporary Contract)</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>BACKGROUND INFORMATION – JOB SPECIFIC</u></strong></p><p>The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), established in 1977, is the leading non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting rights-based sustainable human development in Jordan and in the region. Across Jordan, through a network of 50 community development centers, JOHUD helps people work together to improve livelihoods and to ensure that everyone has access to the entitlements that contribute to healthy and fulfilled lives.</p><p>JOHUD is seeking to hire a GBV case manager. The GBV Case Manager functions as an integral member of the Team, with the primary responsibility of delivering direct GBV Case Management and psychosocial support to individuals who have experienced gender-based violence (GBV) and operates under the direct guidance of the GBV Case Management Supervisor. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Job Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p>· handling GBV cases that are internally and externally referred by service providers and agencies, in accordance with the established GBV Standard Operational Procedures and Referral Pathways. The GBV Case Manager will ensure the provision of comprehensive GBV case management services, following the six essential steps of case management. This includes conducting evaluation sessions, maintaining effective communication skills, and adeptly collecting both quantitative and qualitative data to analyze the situation and assess needs. The ability to prioritize cases based on urgency is crucial in this role.</p><ul><li>Promote knowledge and understanding of case management processes and principles across JOHUD’s protection projects.</li><li>Apply guiding principles in working with children and women, and being guided by the best interest of the child in all actions at all times.</li><li>Identify concerns related to and support adherence to GBV referral protocols and GBV guiding principles</li><li>Familiarity with child development and children’s well-being.</li><li>Communicate and work effectively and appropriately with children of various ages and their families, including those who have experienced difficult situations and experiences.</li><li>Collaborate with beneficiaries to plan, implement, monitor, and amend individualized services that promote beneficiaries’ strengths, advance beneficiaries’ well-being, and help beneficiaries achieve their goals. </li><li>Ensuring accurate, professional and timely GBV case management of service provision is delivered to all beneficiaries Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and take proactive steps to remain informed about the available services.</li><li>Be the contact point for needs assessment and follow-up.</li><li>Advocate for the rights, decisions, strengths, and needs of children and women, and promote their access to resources, supports, and services.</li><li>Promote collaboration and team work among colleagues and organizations to enhance service delivery and facilitate beneficiaries’ goal attainment.</li><li>Ensure the involvement of local authorities, community leaders, and community groups in creating community-based protection mechanisms.</li><li>Provide regular updates and reports to child protection and GBV team leader as required; contribute to donor reports and internal JOHUD reports as required.</li><li>Perform other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><u>Requirements and Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.</li><li>Previous experience in working with survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) or Child Protection (CP) is preferable. Demonstrate the necessary skills and ability to effectively work with GBV cases. Including listening, observation, the ability to create trust, support, respect, and interact with survivors of all ages, backgrounds and diversity. Additionally, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Display a comprehensive understanding of national Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for GBV.</li><li>Strong grasp of Protection principles, showcasing survivor-centered and respectful attitudes, as well as a steadfast belief in gender equality. Exhibit knowledge of safeguarding against sexual exploitation and abuse.</li><li><br></li><li>Show knowledge, respect, and empathy toward the communities with which we engage.</li><li>Fluency in Arabic and good skills in English</li><li>Good knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word and power point).</li></ul><p></p>
