<strong><u>Job Description</u></strong><p><br></p>About the Company<p><br></p>Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country’s crude oil production and natural gas supply.<p><br></p>Purpose of the Job<p><br></p>The position plays a major part in influencing and implementing change in the well integrity arena whilst also having responsibility for management and most importantly improvement of the well integrity status within the asset.<p><br></p>Education &amp; Experience<p><br></p><ul><li> University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent technical subject</li><li> A mature individual having +10 years of experience in the oil industry and with some technical professional in operations, well engineering or production technology background.</li><li> Out of the 8 years of experience, a minimum of 4 years is expected to be on well integrity</li><li> A technical professional with a Production Technology or Well Engineering/C&amp;WI background with broad oilfield experience and experience of practical change management and leadership skills.</li><li> Detailed knowledge and understanding of well / completion / wellhead / XT design.</li><li> Well-site exposure and Operations experience and knowledge are of benefit.</li><li> Understanding / experience of maintenance management techniques.</li><li> Exposure to the following areas would be an advantage – well integrity maintenance &amp; corrosion control and material selection techniques.</li><li> Well-developed communication skills; experience in being a strong team player and key contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team.</li></ul><p><br></p>Main Responsibilities<p><br></p><ul><li> Develop and co-ordinate well integrity maintenance / testing campaigns on highest risk areas ensuring both work and results data is managed effectively and failures are formulated into resourced action plans</li><li> Develop &amp; maintain an overview of assigned asset area well integrity hotspots through KPIs / database, ensuring that appropriate action is being planned to mitigate integrity risks</li><li> Co-ordinate or lead HAZOP / HAZID / peer reviews associated with well changes / problems highlighted with a potential to impact well integrity</li><li> Support development and implementation of an integrated system (process &amp; controls) for managing well integrity in all phases of well lifecycle through contributing towards further development of Well Integrity CoP and Management Specifications</li><li> Support development and implementation of a database for collating well integrity information linking to SAP and aligned with corporate reporting requirements in assigned asset area</li><li> Carry out activities defined and agreed for position within ongoing update of CoP and Management Specifications responsibility matrices such as abandonment planning – specifics tbc through tasks &amp; targets</li><li> Co-ordinate &amp; support collation and validation of well integrity data in new database within assigned asset area</li><li> Assist the Petroleum Technology / Operations communities with creation and management of budgets / plans for well integrity remedial work including abandonment</li><li> Advise as well integrity contact point on mitigating action required based on well failure models / process &amp; controls and on well integrity lifecycle requirements of well and completion design</li><li> Co-ordinate communication activities within assigned asset area to ensure that all stakeholders are involved in / informed of changes</li><li> Coach and mentor any Omani staff assigned as Well Integrity Engineer towards phased transfer into a competent well integrity engineer at the end of assignment</li><li> Report progress against change implementation to Well Integrity Specialist and asset performance / progress to asset integrity reporting line – dual reporting lines</li><li> Conduct Level 3 assurance activities for area of responsibility, and support function lead Level 2 audits.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Skills Required</u></strong><p><br></p>Other Job Details
