Job Description

Cost Duties

Responsible for the management of MEP subcontractors;
Measurement, valuation and monthly certification of subcontractor MEP works;
Assessment of all MEP subcontractor/supplier variations;
Agreement and closure of all MEP subcontractor/ supplier final accounts;
Accurate and regular reporting of all MEP-related costs to Cost Manager to be fed into the company’s monthly financial reports;

QS (Value) Duties

Responsible for the measurement of monthly Interim Payment Applications;
Responsible for the upload of same onto the company ERP system;
Coordination with Value Manager to ensure the timely submission of all elements of the Monthly Interim Applications are submitted timeously;
Negotiation and agreement of monthly interim applications with Engineer’s QS;
Identification of MEP head contract variations/ change management;
Measurement, submission and agreement of all MEP-related head contract variations including procurement of market quotations;
Measurement, submission and agreement of all MEP-related head contract Provisional Sums including procurement of market quotations;

Procurement Duties

Responsible for the creation and management of procurement schedule;
Compilation of comprehensive subcontractor packages to be issued to the market;
Procurement of market quotations;
Interrogation and adjudication of market quotations;
Identify risk and opportunity in market quotations received;
Negotiation with subcontractors to obtain positive commercial gains and outcomes for the project;
Agreement of subcontract terms and conditions ensuring the company/project position is protected at all times;
Compilation of comprehensive and robust subcontracts;
Must be driven to hit procurement deadlines;

Measurement Duties

Understand and follow the procurement schedule;
Measurement of materials required for procurement;
Liaison with stores to ensure no over purchases of bulk materials;
Liaison with Design Manager to obtain current shop drawings for measuring;
Upload of orders on to company ERP system;
Liaison with the Construction team to check and verify procurement requisition requests
