What you will be doing:

As a security supervisor, your role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your fellow employees, guests and visitors. and you will ensure your property remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.

Ensure the overall safety and security of the property premises, Investigate and report any violations to law/property policy, occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crisis situations

Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way

Add to that:

– Insure the confidentiality of safety and security information.
– The service must be sincere, warm and with enthusiastic ensuring that all guests have quality security and safety systems available to them
– Sets an example regarding punctuality, appearance, courtesy, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relationship, observance of the house rules, loyalty to Management and inter-department cooperation
– Accept and promote feedback with the team and anticipate the team & guest’s needs.
– Being entrepreneurial and thinking beyond the boundaries.
– Develop fire, emergency & evacuation guidelines, train team members on the guidelines and take ownership for regular fire drills
– Show full cooperation and respect both within the team and other departments
– Handles complaints effectively and ensure issues are followed up with both internal and external guests
– Training of Security employees in all regulations and factors affecting the operations of the Hotel e.g. Fire prevention and safety procedures, basic firefighting, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions, duties and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations and report writing.
– Ensure Fire Safety, Emergency and Evacuation handbooks and manuals are up to date and available to the team
– Ensure that all Lost & Found items are registered, stored and handled in accordance with the policy.
– Ensure the security team log and handle all incidents, guest complaints or queries confidently and professionally.
– Coach and counsel, all security officers to ensure they are developed professionally.
– Supervise the daily operations of the security team.
– Liaises with local law enforcement authorities and Fire & Safety officials as required, maintaining good relations.
– Assume responsibility for the CCTV room, ensuring that all equipment is working and Team Members are trained to handle the responsibility of monitoring cameras as required.
– Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
– Obtain help by sounding alarms
– Control traffic by directing drivers
– Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
– To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
