"1. Purpose of the Position:\n\nReporting to, guided and directed by the MEAL Manager, the MEAL Co-ordinator will be responsible for:\n\n\n\tthe review, validating, storing, analysis and presentation/visualisation of MEAL quantitative and qualitative data collected by Programmes Department;\n\tsupporting the delivery of on-site, off-site and online MEAL-related workshops and trainings for internal and external GFP audiences;\n\tproviding technical support to each Programmes team, who have lead responsibility for conducting their Programme Evaluations and donor reporting;\n\tsupporting institutional learning activities.\n\n\n2. Responsibilities:\n\nReporting to, guided and directed by the MEAL Manager, the MEAL Co-ordinator is:\n\n\n\tMonitoring and Evaluating all GFP Programmes by:\n\tproviding technical support to each Programmes team, who have lead responsibility for the implementation of compulsory GFP MEAL processes in all Programmes, whether GFP- or donor-funded, thereby strengthening Programmes’ implementation and quality\n\tproviding technical support and mentoring to Programmes Staff on applying the compulsory GFP processes, such as quantitative baseline/endline surveys and analysis; qualitative session monitoring, learning and reflection; and qualitative Participatory Evaluation MEAL processes and tools, in all Programmes, whether GFP- or donor-funded, in ways which meet GFP as well as donor needs, requirements, and standards\n\tsupporting the conceptualisation, logframes, post-approval adjustments, local capacity-building, monitoring \u0026amp; reporting components for all GFP’s ongoing and future grants, in ways which meet the Donor Grant Proposal requirements and desired GFP Programme interventions that are subject of Donor Grant Proposals;\n\timplementing accountability initiatives including effective feedback mechanisms, and practices across the organisation as assigned.\n\tDelivering on Data Management and Analysis by:\n\tthe review, validating, storing, analysis and presentation/visualisation of MEL quantitative and qualitative data collected by Programmes Department, to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for GFP HQ and GFP volunteers\n\tsupporting the review, validating, storing, analysis and presentation/visualisation of accountability and learning quantitative and qualitative data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for GFP HQ and GFP volunteers\n\tDelivering on Reports, Communications and Proposals by:\n\tSupporting the provision of M\u0026amp;E technical input to Programmes Staff into Programme Evaluations Reports and donor reports by combining baseline/endline data analysis, Participatory Evaluation findings including reflections and recommendations, any donor-required inputs, as well as any new GFP-designed frameworks, for and across all GFP Programmes\n\tEnsuring Quality Assurance and Learning by:\n\tsupporting the implementation and tracking of quality assurance, accountability and learning frameworks within the Programmes Department through rigorous application of M\u0026amp;E and feedback processes across all Programmes.\n\tDelivering on capacity building activities by:\n\tresponsible for the planning and management of onsite/online workshops/trainings logistics.\n\tSupporting in the design of knowledge diagnostic assessment tools.\n\tSupporting in the design of the training curriculum.\n\tSupporting in drafting training progress and final reports.\n\tSupporting Programmes Department’s major events, including direct training events (Camps, Advanced Trainings, Refresher Trainings, Refresher Workshops etc.)\n\tAny other delegated tasks by supervisor.\n\n\n3. Key Results Areas:\n\n\n\tMonitoring and Evaluation: Compulsory GFP MEAL processes in all Programmes, whether GFP- or donor-funded, applied to strengthen Programmes’ implementation and quality, and technical support and mentoring to Programmes Staff on applying these compulsory GFP processes provided in ways which meet GFP as well as donor needs, requirements, and standards\n\tData Management and Analysis: Quantitative and qualitative MEAL data analyses prepared as delegated\n\tReports, Communications and Proposals: Comprehensive M\u0026amp;E technical input into Programme Evaluations Reports and donor reports provided.\n\tLearning, Quality Assurance and Accountability: quality assurance, accountability and learning frameworks implemented within the Programmes Department through rigorous application of M\u0026amp;E and feedback processes across all Programmes as assigned.\n\tAdministration: Project management, workload prioritisation and meeting deadlines. Individual continuous learning and improvement. Administrative tasks, Teamwork and contribution to the broader work of the organisation. \n\tPersonal development: Track-record of continuous personal learning, competency development and growth established.\n\n\n4. Education, Qualifications, Competences, Skills Required:\n\nEssential:\n\n\n\tB.A. Degree in a relevant discipline\n\tAt least one years’ relevant professional experience\n\tExperience volunteering in development / community work\n\tExperience in monitoring and evaluation\n\tExperience in programme design and coordination\n\tExperience in mentoring others\n\tAbility to provide analysis and recommendations\n\tExcellent communications skills, both consensus development and interpersonal; confidence and enthusiasm when communicating internally and externally in both formal and informal presentations\n\tExcellent spoken and written English, and in particular top-quality written English communications\n\tExcellent spoken and written Arabic\n\tExcellent analytical skills\n\tTechnologically skilled (databases; documents; spreadsheets; surveys; presentations)\n\tAbility to analyse and deal with a huge amount of quantitative data.\n\tAbility to reflect, learn, and improve; having experience in using feedback processes for learning.\n\tAbility to lead projects and work independently; able to take initiative, think strategically and work creatively\n\tAbility to manage multiple concurrent priorities and work under pressure\n\tAbility to perform in a high-energy environment, with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including the thoughtfulness to work effectively with others in a collaborative workplace; a \"can do\" attitude, and a willingness to \"roll-up sleeves\" and personally handle all aspects of position\n\tAbility to work in a multi-cultural team and context; having cultural sensitivity and understanding of different interpretations of communications approaches in different global, regional, and local contexts\n\tStrong interest in global current affairs, conflict resolution and peace building, and international development.\n\n\nPreferred:\n\n\n\tAdvanced Degree in a relevant discipline preferred\n\tExperience working internationally and in an international organisation\n\tExperience working in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation\n\tDemonstrated knowledge of different theories of conflict transformation and social change\n\tExperience in community development and behaviour change\n\tExperience working with different age-groups (children, youth, adults) in different contexts.\n\tExperience in different forms of evaluation, including participatory evaluation, participatory video, most significant change, is useful but not essential\n\n\n** Candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline 17 August 2023.\n\n** Shortlisting and interviews will be on a rolling basis.\n"
