Job Description
The Student Awards and Financial Aid Coordinator is responsible for supporting the workflows and program delivery of AUIB scholarships and financial aid under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Management. They are the point person for applicants and recipients, liaising with donors, monitoring compliance with agreements, promotion of opportunities, handling applications, identifying opportunities for growth in scholarships, and facilitate in the disbursement of funds.
This position requires continuous evaluation of processes and procedures and ensuring the quality and integrity of data. The coordinator helps protect the security of sensitive and confidential data of students, donors, referees, etc. to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
– Maintain level of expertise regarding initiatives, mandates, and knowledge of principles, ethics, policies, and best practices in stewardship of scholarship administration.
– Coordinate and assist in the delivery of programs and events.
– Respond as the first point of contact for inquiries regarding student awards and financial aid in-person, via phone, and email.
– Conduct the preliminary review of applicants to ensure eligibility, process applications for the selection committee(s), and serve as a committee member advising on the qualification standards of applicants.
– Analyze and make recommendations on scholarship and financial aid statistics.
– Assist in the development and maintenance of an online application system.
– Coordinate and communicate the application process, establish timelines, develop reports.
– Develop marketing and public relations activities related to the promotion of scholarships and financial aid.
– Support in the development of fund campaigns; along with maintaining the website, social media, publications, and promotional materials.
– Update and maintain files and records in databases and systems inclusive but not limited to scholarship status and inventory.
– Generate award emails, meet with recipients on a regular basis, mail thank you letters to donors, prepare reports for donors and internal departments, along with announcements of recipients.
– Collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations, and IT teams as requested by the Director of Enrollment Management.
– Adapt to a diverse changing environment.
– At the request of the Director, aid in support of other enrollment management operations.
– Performs related responsibilities as required.
