WSP is currently seeking Emirati Graduates who hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Marine Engineering to join our Marine Infrastructure team, based in Sharjah. Working with an experienced team of engineers and project managers you would be involved in design and project management of various marine infrastructure projects including ports, harbours, marinas, jetties, quay walls, terminals, etc.

Your new role, what’s involved?
* Project Planning and Design: Assist senior engineers in developing project plans and designs for marine infrastructure projects. Conduct feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and hydrodynamic analyses to support project decision-making. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for marine structures and facilities. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure comprehensive and integrated project designs.
* Structural Analysis and Engineering: Perform structural analysis and design for various marine infrastructure elements, including quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, and offshore platforms. Utilize engineering software tools to assess the stability, durability, and safety of marine structures. Evaluate and recommend appropriate construction materials and techniques for marine environments.
* Construction Management and Supervision: Provide technical support during the construction phase, including conducting site inspections, resolving design-related issues, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address construction challenges and ensure adherence to project specifications. Assist in the testing, commissioning, and handover of marine infrastructure projects.
* Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Prioritize safety in all aspects of marine engineering design and construction, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and environmental standards. Incorporate sustainable and eco-friendly practices into project designs and construction methodologies.
* Project Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and technical reports. Prepare progress reports and contribute to project documentation for clients and stakeholders.
* Collaboration and Professional Development: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project managers. Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in marine engineering and infrastructure construction. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your technical knowledge and skills.
