Rixos Qetaifan Island North
Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
AV Technician
This position is responsible to set up and operate the video, audio and lighting equipment used to enhance live events such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors and cameras.

What you will be doing:
– Meeting with Event Coordinators to discuss audio, lighting and video requirements
– Altering venue arrangements according to layout diagram
– Laying electrical and sound cables
– Responsible for assembly of microphones, mix sound boards, coordinate graphics, operate spotlights, manage video recordings and provide technical support for events
– Setting up and installing microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers and video cameras
– Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment
– Inspecting mountings and electrical equipment to ensure they conform to health and safety regulations
– Operating sound and visual equipment during live events
– Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly
– Maintaining strong customer relations
– Disassembling audio and visual equipment and packing up after the event
