Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

Maintenance Manager

This position oversees and lead maintenance procedures in the company. Effectively manage a team ensuring the availability of resources to complete their duties adhering to safety standards. The maintenance Manager manages activities for maintaining buildings, landscapes, and offices.

What you will be doing:

– The ability to hire, train, supervise, schedule, discipline and plan the activities of maintenance department personnel.
– The ability to complete, hold and follow up on employee performance reviews on a timely basis.
– The ability to ensure that effective preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
– The ability to maintain related equipment.
– The ability to maintain venue-related systems and equipment.
– The ability to check and treat water in pools, slides, water tanks and water features.
– The ability to perform preventive maintenance in shutdown timing.
– The ability to count needed resources for all maintenance of equipment.
– The ability to manage staff accordingly to planned and reactive maintenance works.
– The ability to read and use O&M Manuals for maintenance.
– The ability to participate test and commissioning of venue equipment, buildings, and systems.
– The ability to plan and implement procedures, systems and controls to ensure an efficient maintenance department.
– The ability to establish department operating budget for submission to management covering heat, light, power costs, maintenance, and repairs.
– The ability to communicate maintenance information and problems to the other managers, Directors and General Manager on a daily basis.
– The ability to prepare an annual, itemized, special project budget to management, including all changes and replacements of mechanical equipment required by all departments.
– The ability to develop and update comprehensive departmental policies and manuals.
– The ability to establish good working relationships with contractors who will furnish reliable 24-hour emergency service.
– The ability to compile a monthly consumption report on heat, light and power, including electricity, gas, steam and water.
– The ability to ensure all personnel under the jurisdiction of the Maintenance Manager is exposed to internal and external training on an ongoing basis.
– The ability to ensure effective communication and good relations between the Engineering department and other departments.
– The ability to prepare and follow through on any projects as outlined by senior management.
