Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
This position plays an important role in implementing Health, Safety function within FAB HSE & Security unit. This role will be a key contributor in operationalizing occupational Health, Safety management system.
Job Context
Specific Accountability
- To support Head of HSE & Security in implementing Health & Safety policy/guidelines.
- Ensure, in accordance with the HSE management system, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of bank Health & Safety systems
- To ensure conduct of HSE audits for all bank premises.
- To take part in accident/incident investigation. Carries out analysis of accident/incident statics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
- To participate in HSE meetings related to fit out/special projects.
- To ensure completion of HSE risk assessment for all FAB premises on regular basis/as defined in bank policy framework.
- To carry out performance monitoring of HSE management system through key performance indicator’s and ensure continual improvement.
- To implement bank pandemic response plan for ensuring bank future readiness for dealing with pandemic situation and during pandemic execute response plan for prevention and control of contagious infections.
- To manage Health & Safety vendor and ensure timely renewal of Health & Safety contracts.
- To ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
- To arrange safety awareness /trainings for bank employees.
- To arrange closure of all identified non- conformities/observation related to internal/external audit reports.
- To administer execution of building emergency response procedure across bank premises and carry out of emergency drills at regular intervals as defined in bank Health & Safety policy.
- To manage regular management reporting system related to Health & Safety function and provide regular inputs to Head of HSE & Security on overall performance of Health & Safety unit.
- To take part in yearly budget exercise for Health & Safety unit and propose Health & Safety initiatives relevant for bank in line with industry best standards.
- To collaborate and work on ESG initiatives for achieving Net -Zero target .
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
- Any recognized qualification in Health Safety /Environment such as NEBOSH, ESC, and NVQ etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science / Health & Safety from recognized university.
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) , ISO 14001 (EMS) or ISO50001(Energy management)
- Working knowledge on ESG subject .
Minimum Experience
- Minimum five (05) years of relevant experience in Health, Safety & Environment
