The CISO will be responsible for building the Cybersecurity function from scratch.This role is with a well established, multicultural organisation within the Oil and Gas sector

Our client is a well-established Oil & Gas company based in Khobar.

Description

The CISO will be responsible for:
Defining cybersecurity strategy, policies, proceduresAligning cybersecurity strategy with overall organisation strategyImplementing and monitoring enterprise information security programManaging cyber governance and ensuring compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements such as NCA regulations, ISO 27001, etc.Providing insights and reports to senior management on cybersecurityCybersecurity Risk Assessments and Audits; risk mitigation and putting in place necessary cybersecurity controlsCybersecurity awareness programOverseeing implementation of cybersecurity systems and solutionsCybersecurity OperationsRecruitment, training and management of Cybersecurity team

Profile

The CISO will be/have:
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or equivalentCISSP, CCISO, CISA, CRISC, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or equivalent certifications (preferred)15+ years of experience, of which 5+ years must have been in Cybersecurity managementRobust knowledge of Cybersecurity regulations, standards, and controlsIdeally built a cybersecurity function from scratch in previous rolesKnowledge of IT Business Continuity managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsA high level of attention to detailThe ability to lead a teamBe able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organisationExperience in the Oil and Gas industry (preferred)Experience in both IT and OT CybersecurityA Saudi national; and based in/willing to relocate to Khobar
