About the job Landscape Engineer
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage landscape staff (full-time, hourly and seasonal), to ensure the proper, efficient and timely completion of department responsibilities.
- Work in the field and sometimes in the office, providing hands-on completion of work as a mentor and an example for the rest of the team
- Managing the development of plans for new construction projects such as roads or residential subdivisions
- Planning, designing, and implementing landscaping projects, such as designing gardens, installing irrigation systems, or creating lawn mowing schedules
- Be responsible for the health of the landscape.
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, and other consultants as needed
- Estimating costs for materials needed for projects, and estimating the time required to complete projects
- Establishing and maintaining plants, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation in accordance with environmental regulations
- Developing plans for new construction projects such as roads or residential subdivisions
- Maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment, and machinery needed for work activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor`s degree in Agricultural Engineering.
- A minimum of five years of related work experience.
- Understanding of irrigation systems operation and repair.
- Considerable knowledge of horticulture and grounds maintenance procedures.
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft office and landscape design softwares.
