Job Description

The Principal Public Health Design Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in public health design for Surbana Jurong in the Middle East region. They play a critical role in leading the MEP design team, ensuring successful project execution, and delivering high-quality public health designs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and manage the MEP design team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the team’s performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and project managers to define project requirements and deliverables.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of MEP design projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex public health design issues.
  • Review and approve public health design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP designs into overall project deliverables.

Technical Leadership and Expertise:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to public health design.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, sharing expertise and promoting professional development.
  • Identify and implement innovative public health design solutions to optimize project performance and efficiency.
  • Support business development activities by participating in client presentations, proposal preparation, and technical discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • BEng(Hons) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 20+ years experience with minimum 2 years in a similar role
  • Member of Appropriate Professional Institution (MCIBSE or MASHRAE etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSC degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE)
