Anesthesia Administration: Administer various types of anesthesia, such as general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, or monitored anesthesia care, based on the patient’s medical history and the requirements of the surgical procedure.

Patient Assessment: Conduct pre-operative evaluations to assess patients’ medical conditions, history, and suitability for anesthesia. This includes reviewing medical records, conducting physical examinations, and discussing anesthesia plans with patients.

Anesthesia Monitoring: Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall well-being throughout the surgical or medical procedure. Respond promptly to any changes or adverse reactions to anesthesia.

Pain Management: Ensure patients’ pain is adequately managed during and after the procedure, adjusting anesthesia levels as needed and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide appropriate pain relief post-surgery.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia administration, patient responses, and any adverse events, adhering to institutional protocols and regulatory requirements.

Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle medical emergencies related to anesthesia, including anaphylactic reactions, respiratory distress, or cardiac events, by initiating appropriate interventions and coordinating with the medical team.
Skills

Education: A medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completion of a recognized anesthesia residency program.

Licensing and Certification: Valid medical license and certification in anesthesia from a recognized governing body.

Anesthesia Expertise: Proficiency in administering various types of anesthesia and managing patients’ physiological responses during procedures.
