Job Description

  • The Power & Water Models Senior Specialist is responsible for leading the power, and water modelling work within the modelling team and developing, operating, maintaining, and updating the power and water models assigned.

 

  • The Power & Water Models Senior Specialist is also in charge of carrying out the benchmarking exercises on the assigned models and ensuring the implementation of the recommendations.

 

  • The Power & Water Models Senior Specialist will be responsible for operationalizing the governance framework(s) of the power and water models and ensuring adherence to the same in performing the different tasks and assignments and proposing any modifications to the same to the Management.

 

  • The Power & Water Models Senior Specialist will be leading on the preparation of the modelling and assessment requirements for the requests raised to support the Management in responding to such with the results of the models used.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering, or Economics, etc.
  • At least 3-5 years of related experience (energy sector modelling/electricity and water sector modelling, data management, policy development, etc.).
  • Experience with energy modelling tools (e.g., PLEXOS, AURORA, TIMES, or any other tool developed and used by reputable global organizations).
