Job Description
- Oversee the overall operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain management.
- Point of contact for the warehouse.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective warehouse processes and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and timely replenishment.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize workflow and reduce costs. Generate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance.
- Coordinate and supervise the warehouse movement of the earth moving division. Ensure a proper transition so that the current operation can continue undisturbed. Precision and cleanliness are key here.
Skills
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You have a degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Machine Engineering, a related field of study or equivalent by experience. Or you have at least an A2 diploma (auto) mechanics or are equivalent through experience.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar environment/job, you have preferably worked with heavy earth moving equipment before.
- You preferably have knowledge of warehouse systems.
- You work accurately, flexibly and always persevere in the search for a technical solution
- You are capable of independently leading the day-to-day warehouse operations.
- You are self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize workload.
- You are analytical, a team player and have good administrative skills.
- You have a thorough knowledge of MS Office programs.
