Job Description:

In this role, you will work as part of a wider team to support business development efforts and advise the Client on sustainability advisory and related services, including environmental, social, economic, and cultural pillars.

In addition, you will act in the capacity of a project manager on several sustainability initiatives/projects to ensure the successful delivery of services within the timeline, budget, scope, and quality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Apply Project Management methodologies (PMI), tools and processes to plan, track and monitor project progress from initiation through closure to ensure the successful delivery of products and services within the timeline, budget, scope (value), and quality.
  2. It is supporting in carving project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with business owners and internal stakeholders.
  3. Establish effective and appropriate project governance, including, but not limited to, proper escalation path and communication plans.
  4. Plan and schedule project timelines, deliverables, and milestones using appropriate tools.
  5. Manage technical and commercial aspects of bid development, project delivery and develop new areas of business for the team.
  6. Ensure proper risk management by documenting all risks and employing an effective mitigation strategy.
  7. Lead the coordination and delivery of sustainability projects being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams including environmental, social, cultural, and economic pillars.
  8. Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes.
  9. Create and monitor the identification publication and implementation of environmental and sustainability plans, strategies, guidelines, regulations, and statutory legislation within the program, in line with corporate requirements.
  10. Drive all project resources to competently undertake their work to an excellent standard while adhering to the project’s identified time and budget.
  11. Able to manage clients’ needs in a confident, professional manner.
  12. Coordinate and manage vendors to ensure deliverables meet the scope of work and quality standards.
  13. Facilitate effective and efficient meetings with stakeholders, monitor issues, and assign follow-up action items with owner and timeline.
  14. Identify, document, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues providing management information on progress and escalating when deemed appropriate.
  15. Deliver informative and well-organized presentations and briefings to management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sustainability, business management, or any related field.
  2. PMP, ISO, CFA-ESG, and LEED certificates are considered distinguishers.
  3. Strong project management skills
  4. In-depth knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and industry best practices.
  5. Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, including net-zero plans and green transformation initiatives.
  6. Expertise in conducting ESG assessments and managing sustainability reporting requirements.
  7. Strong communication skills, presentation (ppt), and report drafting/writing.
  8. Strong stakeholder management (compassionate given the type of external clientele i.e., HH) and ability to navigate political environments.
  9. Well-spoken and written English (is a must), Arabic is a plus.
