Role Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to drive the vocational education initiatives for NEOM Hotel Development in alignment with NEOM Talent Academy and in partnership with a turnkey provider. The focus is on developing the Saudi workforce for Hospitality in NEOM through policy supported conception and delivery using the latest education technologies – virtual reality / augmented reality. In addition, the role will manage the placement of candidates into local and international universities and hotel schools.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive the future workforce development strategy to empower a new generation of Saudi nationals to become future hospitality employees with NEOM’s service culture.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and turnkey partners to ensure that a sustainably high quality of development is maintained with NEOM IP owned content and innovative delivery mechanisms.
  • Ensure that all programs are endorsed by and compliant with the NEOM Talent Academy regulations
  • Manage all student recruitment processes using innovative AI enabled solutions
  • Establish a student management process that tracks individual progress and targets relationship building activities.
  • Oversee the development of a blended hospitality vocational development program which aggregates efficient traditional approaches & digital solutions.
  • Establish a state-of-the-art NEOM Hotel Development hospitality learning facility in NEOM.
  • Work in collaboration with all relevant departments within NEOM to facilitate the creation of this facility.
  • Develop all operational guidelines, technologies and manning levels to ensure its operational capability.
  • Create Life-long learning journeys based on individual needs for all NEOM Hotel Development employees.
  • Develop individual development needs identification methodologies and address them through data analysis of performance, potential and career aspirations.
  • Ensure that AI enabled software will enhance continuous learning for pre-boarding and on-boarding activities.
  • Establish the process whereby performance gaps are identified and addressed through the analysis of real time data.
  • Establish the methodology by which all NEOM operated hotel employees will be empowered to self-select skills, qualifications and career development courses with their progress being recognized and rewarded.
  • Drive the team towards the achievement of Future Workforce development objectives.
  • Drive the team as required to ensure that learning and self-development are key pillars of NEOM Hotels culture.
  • Execute a partnership strategy with relevant Universities and educational bodies (domestic & overseas)
  • Manage the process whereby local and international students complete internships in NEOM.

Qualifications:

  • Batchelor’s / Masters / PHD degree in Educational Science or similar.
  • Professionally fluent English with additional languages – Arabic would be an asset.
  • Strong experience (minimum 10 years) in hospitality training and knowledge development management.
  • Proven Business Development & Academic experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful development programs for hospitality.
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to deal creatively with workplace challenge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering a high standard of presentation preparation and working with all MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc…)
