Job Purpose
The Wastewater Engineer’s role is to improve wastewater and recycled water licensees’ regulatory performance by assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based regulations and strategies aimed at delivering safe recycled water to customers.
Job-specific Responsibilities
Support in the development of technical regulations & regulatory guidance related to wastewater, recycled water, and trade effluent
Monitor and prepare summary reports of licensee recycled water and trade effluent quality data
Review of licensee reports and regulatory submissions, and follow up with licensees as required
Assess the alignment of the recycled water safety plan submissions to the WHO guidelines
Perform regulatory audits of licensees regarding recycled water safety plan implementation
Continuous guidance to, and liaison with licensees and stakeholders to promote regulatory compliance
Support in advising on legislative matters as appropriate
Support Company’s sector wide initiatives on regulatory issues
Review of wastewater and recycled water operational incidents and follow-up.
Maintain technical competency through continuous professional development.
Perform any other duties that may occasionally be required by the Company
