Our client is a Private IT projects’ company actively engages in a diverse range of projects with Government. They have a 3-year Government contract where they require Virtual Systems Engineers. This job is exclusively posted for Saudi nationals.
Job Summary:
The Virtual Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized environments for organizations. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of virtual systems, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting issues. The Virtual Systems Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide effective virtualization solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of virtualization technologies. Additionally, international certifications in relevant virtualization technologies are preferred.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement virtualized environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
2. Configure and manage virtualization platforms, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Citrix XenServer.
3. Monitor virtual infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and capacity issues.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose virtualization solutions that align with business objectives.
5. Participate in the planning and execution of virtualization projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
6. Create and maintain documentation related to virtual systems architecture, configurations, and procedures.
7. Troubleshoot virtualization-related issues, both independently and in collaboration with other teams, ensuring timely resolution.
8. Stay updated with the latest virtualization technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
9. Implement and maintain virtualization security measures, including access controls, patch management, and disaster recovery strategies.
10. Provide training and support to end-users on virtualization technologies and best practices.
11. Collaborate with the network and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of virtual systems with the overall IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a focus on virtualization technologies.
3. Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Citrix XenServer.
4. Proficiency in configuring and managing virtual machines, virtual networks, and storage.
5. Demonstrated experience with virtualization management tools and technologies.
6. Excellent understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve virtualization-related issues.
8. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. International certifications in virtualization technologies, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V).
10. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Arabic.
