Our client is a Private IT projects’ company actively engages in a diverse range of projects with Government. They have a 3-year Government contract where they require Network Security Engineers. This job is exclusively posted for Saudi nationals.

Job Summary:

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures for organizations. They play a crucial role in protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of network systems and data. The Network Security Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities, develop security policies, and implement effective security controls. This role requires strong technical expertise in network security, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of industry best practices. Additionally, international certifications in relevant network security technologies are preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement network security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and network access controls.

2. Monitor network systems and traffic for security breaches, suspicious activities, and unauthorized access attempts.

3. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.

4. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement network security policies, standards, and procedures.

5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) or the ISO 27001 standard.

6. Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and implementing corrective actions.

7. Configure and manage network security devices, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

8. Stay updated with the latest network security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques, and provide recommendations for proactive security enhancements.

9. Collaborate with the network engineering team to ensure the secure design and implementation of network infrastructure components.

10. Conduct security awareness training for employees, promoting best practices and raising awareness of potential security risks.

11. Work closely with vendors and external partners to evaluate and implement security solutions and technologies.

12. Maintain documentation related to network security configurations, policies, procedures, and incident response plans.

13. Participate in the evaluation and selection of security tools, solutions, and vendors.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. CCNP or CCNA certification is a must-have.

2. one to two years of proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or similar role, with a focus on network security technologies.

3. Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security best practices.

4. Proficiency in configuring and managing network security devices, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and VPNs.

5. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, penetration testing methodologies, and security incident response.

6. Understanding of encryption technologies, authentication protocols, and access control mechanisms.

7. Familiarity with network security standards and regulations, such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, or NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

8. International certifications in network security technologies, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA).

9. Experience with network security tools and solutions from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, or Fortinet.

10. Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

11. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate network security risks.

12. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

13. Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Arabic.
