Job Description

Position: Planning Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

Salary: AED. 10,000

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Review of EPC Contractor’s schedule and programs for the project inclusive staffing plans and manpower histograms, progress measurement system, Progress Reporting, Progress Trending, Progress Certification etc. consistent with the Company requirements.
  • Evaluate & analyses the reported progress and schedule status, identify the Areas of concern impacting the project completion schedule and to advise the Head of Project Controls on the proposed corrective actions.
  • Review resource deployment by Contractors for determining their adequacy for meeting the completion schedules based on the productivity rates and recommend enhancements where required.
  • Preparation of internal weekly and monthly projects status reports and presentations to Sr. Management and monitor actual progress against planned progress, particularly with regard to resources, productivity, performance and budget.
  • Evaluate Variation requests/Claims for extension of project schedules made by Contractors and prepare appropriate recommendations to Management for approval.
  • Review periodically the Schedule Risk Analysis along with the mitigation measures identified by the Contractors and to ensure timely implementation of all agreed migration measures.
  • Review of EPC Contractor monthly progress, certification of progress milestones and invoices in-line with procedures and contract.
  • Prepare EPC integrated Project Schedules and Planning Package in-line with Contract requirements for Proposal and post-award of projects.
  • Development of Schedule of level 4 for various discipline using Primavera Project planner P6.
  • Preparation of Weekly; Monthly & Three Months look-ahead Schedule. Updating actual Progress and all related information & comparison analysis.
  • Tracking and maintain scope changes of Mechanical items for Piping; Structural Steel; Piping & Mechanical Equipment’s and its effect on the overall project schedule.
  • Resources Estimation and Loading in P6 plan.
  • Estimation of Manpower Requirement for the Project based on standard productivity norms. Monitoring of actual resources availability & analysis using Histogram.
  • Resource Loading in Primavera and Manpower Estimation
  • Preparing progress % calculation systems, earned man-hours, productivity & Trend analysis.
  • Progress Measurement using S Curves
  • Preparation Executive Progress Summary Report / Presentations to the Top Management on Project Status for periodical review.
  • Preparation of Weekly / Monthly Progress Reports and all the project & cost control reports.
  • Preparation of executive Progress Summary Report/Progress Review Presentation for the Management.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineer
  • 8-10 Years’ Experience in Oil and Gas Projects
