Job Description

1. Greet and welcome guests in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive first impression.

2. Register guests and provide them with necessary information about the guesthouse, including room rates, amenities, and policies.

3. Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information and assistance as needed.

4. Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring all necessary paperwork and payment procedures are completed accurately.

5. Maintain an organized front desk area, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at all times.

6. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure timely room readiness and resolve any guest requests or issues.

7. Assist guests with reservations, including processing bookings, modifications, and cancellations.

8. Provide recommendations and information about local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options to enhance guests’ experience.

9. Process payments, issue invoices, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

10. Maintain and update guest records and databases with accurate and relevant information.

11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless operation of the guesthouse and contribute to a positive work environment.

Skills

1. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality setting.

2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

3. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

4. Proficient in using computer systems, including reservation and property management software.

5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.

6. Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced and demanding situations.

7. Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

8. High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or front desk training is a plus.
