Position Summary:

  • The FP&A Analyst – Commercial Finance will support the Head of Commercial Finance in liaising with the Sales and Customer Experience (CX) departments to develop accurate Sales forecasts for the group. 
  • The FP&A analyst will help consolidate sales forecasts at a Group level (UAE & Intl. markets like Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain and KSA) and help translate Sales Forecasts into Revenue projections for the Group.
  • They will also support Monthly Sales Performance and Productivity tracking and help drive monthly reviews with the Sales team and lead various revenue/cost optimization projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Commercial

  • Liaise with the Head of Department and other members of the Sales and Customer Experience (CX) teams to develop accurate forecasts for Sales
  • Consolidate the Sales forecasts at a Group level (UAE & Intl. markets like Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain and KSA)
  • Help translate Sales Forecasts into Revenue projections for the Group  
  • Own the Monthly Sales Productivity tracking and drive reviews with Sales leads
  • Drive various cost optimization projects for the Sales/CX teams
  • Help evaluate new projects or investment proposals for the Sales/CX teams

Business Performance and Planning

  • Prepare the Monthly Sales performance reports for senior leadership and external investors.
  • Analyze the sales/revenue movements between the different types of customers and geographies to understand growth drivers across the group. 
  • Go deep into customer churn metrics to highlight potential customer loss to the sales team to take pre emptive action to retain customers
  • Ensure that actionable insights are embedded in the financial planning process and reflected in the strategic plans.
  • Actively support the team in the preparation of Monthly Financial Package for the Board and Investors with insightful commentary and analysis on business performance and hotspots requiring management attention
  • Be an advocate of automation in the Finance function to generate efficiencies and improve processes across the company.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • A master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable but not mandatory
  • 3-5 years of FP&A experience in a technology or high growth company
  • Prior experience of working with the Sales or Commercial team in tracking productivity and target setting would be highly desirable

 

Desired Skills:

  • Expert financial modeling and excel skills 
  • Strong grasp of fundamentals of Finance fundamentals such as income statement, balance sheet, and cashflow modeling
  • Hands on experience of core FP&A activities such as Planning, Forecasting, and Management Reporting 
  • Good Analytical skills coupled with Commercial acumen to understand critical business KPIs and support business leaders in taking accurate data driven decisions
  • Experience of working as an analyst with Sales or Commercial teams in tracking productivity metrics and target setting would be highly desirable
  • Experience with ERP tools like Netsuite and Power BI (must)
