Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Food Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Food Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders to our valued customers. Your role will contribute to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining our reputation for prompt and efficient food delivery services.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently deliver food orders to customers’ specified locations within designated timeframes.
2. Confirm and double-check accuracy of orders before leaving the restaurant.
3. Handle cash and card transactions for food payments and provide accurate change as needed.
4. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor during interactions with customers.
5. Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor if necessary.
6. Follow established delivery routes and schedules to optimize delivery efficiency.
7. Ensure proper handling and storage of food items during transportation to maintain food quality and safety standards.
8. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
9. Perform regular vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure the delivery vehicle is in good working condition.
10. Communicate and coordinate with the restaurant staff and management regarding any changes, delays, or other issues related to food delivery.
11. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, receipts, and delivery reports.
12. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle at all times.

Skills

Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
3. Excellent knowledge of the local area and efficient navigation skills.
4. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
5. Ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
6. Exceptional time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries.
7. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order delivery and handle customer inquiries effectively.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Physical stamina to lift and carry packages and food containers of various sizes.
10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
11. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
12. Familiarity with using GPS devices or navigation apps.
13. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
