Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To monitor, check, and maintain all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) aspects and activities to be implemented at Taj Al-Safa and on site per project, and report risks, incidents, and non-conformities, and deliver the related inductions to the employees. Act as management representative on behalf of Taj AlSafa with external auditors for the implementation and audit on the ISO 9001 QMS.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

STRATEGIC DUTIES

  • Development of Taj AlSafa QHSE Policy & Procedures
  • Internal Audit and coordinating external audits

TECHNICAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for maintaining all Quality Management systems as well as HSE PPMs and records and following up on implementation through Internal Audits.
  • Responsible for all documentation in relation to health and safety, keep all documentation and safety manuals up-to-date and distribute appropriately within TAJ ALSAFA’s project.
  • Participating in the implementation of emergency response or disaster recovery plans in the event of an incident
  • Implementing QHSE programs within TAJ ALSAFA’s project(s) and preventing or correcting quality non-conformities and unsafe environmental working conditions.
  • Performing quality/work environment evaluations, inspections, and audits to ensure employees compliance with company QHSE policies and procedures
  • Inspecting work in progress to ensure conformity with QHSE specifications and requirements, standards, and Procedures, and providing advice to resolve problems.
  • Conducting and documenting regular QC checks, inspections, and work environment evaluations and reviews
  • Conducting general QHSE induction for the new employees.
  • Reporting incidents or accidents related to QHSE & participating in investigations, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Follow-up on resolving non-conformities and assurance of implementation
  • Participating in hazards identification and reporting and reporting all observed unsafe acts
  • Undertaking compliance checks on procedural and safety practices.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Preparing periodic reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted for review.
  • Lead the QHSE management review periodic meetings and reporting on outcomes
  • Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor/QHSE Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS/ CERTIFICATES:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

5 years of experience in a related field
