Job Summary
The role of an Automotive Diagnostic Technician is to conduct testing on vehicles that might include using special diagnostic equipment, tools & communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for inspecting and diagnosing electrical & communication faults in vehicles using specialist tools. This involves reading the auto’s internal computer chip.
- Work alongside other technicians and customer service staff conducting standard car maintenance and repair services such as servicing the brakes, hydraulics, fuel ignition, air conditioning, and electrical system of a car to ensure that each vehicle is in optimum condition.
- Preparing estimates & creating fault reports when required.
Skills
- Minimum three years in a similar position or related to business, preferably from a German brands
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar or related position to business, preferably with German brands.
- Relevant Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Must have experience and knowledge of modern vehicles equipped with extensive computer networks that provide information on the engine, brakes, and other related systems.
- Must have experience and knowledge of special diagnostic equipment used to inspect and test vehicle systems to find any problems with the driving system and check the vehicle’s systems and components to help identify issues and rectify them.
