Key Responsibilities

  • Control and maintain FIVE standards of service, performance levels, colleagues’ professional and FIVE Vibe conduct, grooming, appearance, hygiene, etc. according to established FIVE policies.
  • Review performance with every department manager by way of weekly structured catch-up meetings and annual performance reviews
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to manage and control the overall expenses of the outlets while focusing on higher revenue.
  • To schedule and participate in monthly Department Food and Beverage meetings, daily briefings, and departmental shift lineups
  • To manage key events for FIVE with the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage by ensuring that key departments are prepared for such events
  • To review the logbook daily
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept in perfect working condition. Report any deficiency to the proper department and monitor the teams’ regular outlet walks with the engineering.
  • Must be able to calculate and control Food & Beverage costs.
  • Able to conduct all facets of Human Resources for your department – interviewing, evaluating, disciplining, and termination.
  • In charge of obtaining maximum results in the utilization and appearance of the food and beverage areas, the quality levels, performance standards of service, and developing new techniques of service towards maximum guest satisfaction at minimum operating costs
  • Managing all guest complaints in the food and beverage area
  • Analyze existing procedures and develop new and special promotions that will improve guest patronage under the guidelines of FIVE policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications between all operating departments.
  • Respond appropriately and adequately in any hotel emergency or health and safety situation that may arise.
  • To perform other tasks or projects as assigned by FIVE management.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • A trusted colleague who maintains confidentiality and upholds safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience with handling a pool operation in a luxury property.
  • Revenue-driven approach
  • Unwavering commitment to enterprise goals
  • An ability to identify and monitor market needs and trends to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Active participation in the effective implementation and administration of company-wide policies, procedures, and practices
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Arabic, and other additional international languages, preferred
  • A winning attitude and ongoing enthusiasm for all duties requested by management
