Job Description
Petroplan is seeking to hire Senior Petroleum and Production Engineer for one of its clients
Responsibilities
* Review well data and provide the engineering prospective opinion on forecasting and extending life of wells and fields.
* Prepare AFE’s and assist in economic justification for well activities.
* Track and meet goals related to work program, costs and production.
* Analyze and interpret well data, field, and economic data and provide solutions or new ideas for potential projects.
* Initiate procedures for maintenance, if required.
* Ability to provide opinions to other activities such as drilling, reservoir stimulation, facilities, etc, if required.
* Evaluate, recommend, and justify artificial lift, if required.
* Provide at-site supervision and ensure high standard of HSE is implemented.
* Review inactive wells and provide way-forward.
* Review field performance, propose mitigation plans to optimize production, costs and resources.
* Manage service companies on site and evaluate performance, pricing and contracts, and efficiency.
* Design enhanced oil and gas recovery and fluid disposal projects, if required.
* Ensure equipment is installed, operated and maintained properly for effective use.
* Work closely with the procurement team to procure the necessary equipment and tools for projects.
* Work together with geoscientists and other specialists to analyze the geologic formation containing the oil and gas reservoir and propose next steps.
* Provide mentor and steer of young engineers, if required.
Requirements
* BSc or higher degree in Petroleum Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in petroleum engineer projects.
* Experience with field operations.
* Able to be a team player and work with field hands, engineering managers, service companies, and executive team.
* Problem solver and ability to solicit solutions from engineering and non-engineering (but experienced in running workovers rigs) staff in the field.
* Organization skills, timely handling of paperwork, and communication to all relevant parties in the organization is critical.
* Strong work ethics and team-working skills.
