Diesel Fuel Pump Injection Technician
Job Description
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel fuel injection systems, including fuel pumps, injectors, and associated components.
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including fuel filter replacement and fuel system cleaning.
- Use specialized diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve fuel injection system issues.
- Ensure the proper functioning of fuel injection systems by adjusting and calibrating as necessary.
- Test and verify the performance of repaired or replaced fuel injection components.
- Replace faulty or worn-out fuel injection system components, following manufacturer’s guidelines and specifications.
- Order and procure necessary parts and components for fuel injection system repairs.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of fuel injection system parts and supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely delivery of required components.
- Document all repairs, diagnostics, and parts used accurately and thoroughly.
- Prepare service reports and complete work orders, providing detailed information on performed repairs and recommendations for further action.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, service history, and customer interactions.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Comply with applicable regulations and standards related to fuel injection systems and diesel engines.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in diesel fuel injection technology and related diagnostic tools.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior technicians, as needed.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Skills
- Diploma in Automotive or Mechanical
- Minimum 3yrs experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines & fuel injection systems
- Familiarity with tools & equipment used in diesel fuel systems repair.
- Strong customer service skills & ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individual.
