Job Description
Job Purpose
Compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services. Purchase includes equipment, supplies or services necessary for smooth operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Operation:
– Negotiate with suppliers for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service).
– Supervise maintenance department to ensure maintenance is timely and satisfactorily performed handle all medical insurance activities for employees (insurance renewals and upgrades).
– Calculate the fuel consumption to pay the drivers.
– Work on tasks to ensure quality execution of all regular purchasing duties within set budgets.
• Coordination:
– Coordinate with departments and suppliers to ensure match in the requested purchases.
– Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site on time.
• Administration:
– Regularly seek new suppliers and negotiate prices to assure knowledge of market rates and updates.
– Assure adequate supply levels of stationary is maintained within premises.
– Properly file and administer documents.
– Complete assignments requested by Direct Manager.
Skills
Education and Qualifications:
Essential: Bachelor of Business Administration or Equivalent
Desirable: Advanced Excel course
Experience:
Essential: Minimum of two years’ experience in same field
Desirable: Experience working within a distribution and pharmaceutical company
Skills:
– Flexibility to work well in a dynamic, sometimes stressful and demanding team environment
– Ability to analyze and evaluate data
– Good analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong negotiation skills
– Ability to generate basic reports
– Detail-oriented and financially literate
Knowledge:
Languages: Arabic and English.
Computer: High level in basic Excel and Word.
