Senior L&D Manager – EV – Product & Sales | Automotive | Talent Center
Overview of the role
To manage the EV Centre of Excellence and product launch related activities throughout the automotive network. To be the focal point of contact / support for providing support for any EV or new product related activities. To set the Al-Futtaim EV standards aligned to IMI international standard levels 1 – 4To drive New Model Launch (NML) activities across the network, working closely with Brand Principals to Identify, facilitate and manage people development solutions for the Al-Futtaim Automotive division business units. To manage Budget for EV learning & development and New Model Launch activities within Automotive division.
What you will do
- Lead any activity related to EV Vehicles, Facilities and Charging infrastructure, accountable for EV certification standards across the group and records for inspection and audit
- Work closely with the brand principals and distributors to arrange engaging product launch activities and events, working with the L&D Consultants to deliver unforgettable experience for delegates
- Working with procurement to identify, select and manage external training and accreditation bodies, agencies, and training providers necessary to deliver required training, to appropriate EV or Brand standards.
- Lead recruitment drives, on-boarding and on the job development activities, in connection with EV specialist associates.
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor distributor new model launch training activities to ensure Brand and distributor compliance, with the execution of structured action plans.
- Coordinate with the various vehicle launch committees to set a calendar of events, identifying the manpower required for successful delivery
- Cascade vehicle launch information & activities to all other departments and identify who will need to attend and the relevant support required (Parts, Service or Technical etc.)
- Ensure Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system requirements and SOPs are implemented in each area of responsibility.
- Lead and drive the set up of an EV Centre of Excellence, identifying resources required to become a regional leader in the field of EV L&D, sourcing the latest information and regulations to ensure 100% compliance
- Manage all the business concerned risk objectives, actively seeking out challenges and solutions
- Compliance with any awarding bodies, brand, HSSE or Al-Futtaim standards and documenting evidence accordingly.
- Lead any New Model Launch activity, being the prime point between brands, the Talent Centre and delegates
- Assist with the orientation, training and coaching of staff, management and other stakeholders to increase knowledge, efficiency and safety within the workplace
- Create SOPs to support the safe & effective execution of EV and NML activities
- Work closely with Operations to ensure the scheduling process and engagement with the business is of the highest quality

- Full UAE driving License
- Relevant certificates or degree in Business Administration / Marketing or equivalent
- Adult learning or training and assessment certificate or equivalent
- Minimum Experience 5 years of experience in Automotive training or coaching role
- Minimum 1-2 years of Electric or Hybrid hands on
- Experience of management development and soft skills training
- Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions
- Experience of partnering with third parties
