SCAFFOLDING SUPERVISOR / INSPECTOR

Job Description

1) Scaffolding Supervisor shall have at least ten (10) years proven experience in the Oil & Gas

industries, in that 5 years of experience in scaffolding supervisory role, and remaining 5 years

for other activities such as Refractory, Insulation and Painting supervisory roles. + 2 years as

Scaffolding foreman, remaining 3 years as Scaffolding.

2) scaffolding supervisor must have prior projects experience

3) scaffolding Supervisor must be able to define scaffolding with correct load rating and types

suitable for its intended use, when required raise request for design drawings,

4) Able to interpret engineering drawings and have a sound knowledge of oil & gas industrial

plant safety.

5) should demonstrate an understanding of HSE issues and be able to carry out Risk Assessment,

6) scaffolding Supervisor must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of Scaffolding

codes of practices and relevant British standards.

7) Scaffolding Supervisor shall be capable for delivery of toolbox talks to the Scaffolder,

8) shall be capable of performing all necessary administrative Work. Administrative Work may

include, but shall not be limited to, requesting, obtaining and renewing Work permits,

9) Scaffolding Supervisor must be capable to input required data for the COMPANY

computerized engineering administration system and submitting daily time sheets,

10) Scaffolding Supervisor shall be capable of supervising the service team and shall be able to

exert full disciplinary and trade control over the tradesmen,

11) Scaffolding Supervisor must be able to communicate in the English (IELTS 5 Equivalent) and

the language of his artisans.

12) scaffolding Supervisor must be capable of organizing Work to be carried out and co-ordinating

with Site Manager, COMPANY Focal Point and end users.

13) Scaffolding Supervisor shall be certified medically fit for Scaffolding Work and work at heights

Skills

A) Educational qualifications: Preferably Diploma in Civil or Mechanical

Engineering discipline or standards-based qualification.

B) Scaffolding Supervisor shall have the CISRS standardized scaffolding supervisor course

certificate, or CISRS affiliates and internationally recognized statutory bodies such as C.I.T.B.,

SIMIAN SKILL, Safety & Access, NASC or AECOR. Having experienced in both supervision

during construction, inspection and certification of scaffolding structures,
