Job Purpose

As the Cloud Governance & Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud environment is properly governed and that our systems are highly available and reliable. In this role, you will be responsible for both cloud governance and site reliability engineering (SRE), as we are combining two roles to make the most of our resources.

Key Accountability Areas

•    Develop and maintain cloud governance policies, procedures, and standards.

•    Define and enforce cloud governance best practices, including security, compliance, and cost optimization.

•    Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with cloud governance policies and standards.

•    Monitor cloud usage and spending to ensure compliance with budgets and FinOps principles.

•    Conduct regular cloud governance audits and report on compliance status.

•    Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable systems in the cloud.

•    Monitor system health and performance, identifying and resolving issues before they impact customers.

•    Automate routine tasks to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.

•    Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.

•    Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.

  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.

  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

  • Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvement:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
