Responsibilities:

 

1) Financial Modeling and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and business performance analysis.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis, to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze financial statements, key performance indicators, and operational metrics to support decision making processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure accurate financial modeling.

2) Strategic Planning and Forecasting:

  • Support the strategic planning process by providing financial insights, modeling different scenarios, and assessing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long term financial plans.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to evaluate new business initiatives, investment opportunities, and partnerships.

3) Reporting and Presentation:

  • Prepare regular financial reports, executive summaries, and presentations for senior management, investors, and board meetings.
  • Present financial analysis and recommendations to stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts into easily understandable terms.

4) Valuation:

  • Conduct valuation analysis using appropriate methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
  • Perform in depth research on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to support valuation assumptions.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

5) Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance financial modeling and valuation methodologies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities, leveraging automation tools and technologies.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are preferred.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and financial forecasting in the fintech industry or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficient in financial modeling techniques, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and financial statement analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau and financial modeling software.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to non financial stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of the Buy Now Pay Later industry and understanding of its business dynamics is highly desirable
