Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify key stakeholders involved with the project and develop a comprehensive Stakeholder and Communications Management Plan.
- Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and NOCs in a timely manner.
- Communicate stakeholder responses and requests to technical teams and record all communications.
- Analyze the needs, concerns, and authority of various stakeholders and align this information within a Stakeholder Matrix.
- Organize and coordinate meetings with stakeholders, prepare minutes of meetings, and distribute them promptly.
- Support the permitting process and manage authority relationships to avoid project delays.
- Build and maintain a network of industry partners, public authorities, and key decision makers to facilitate the successful completion of the project.
- Monitor current and emerging stakeholder issues and trends, as well as legal precedents and changes in the regulatory environment that may affect the project strategy.
- Effectively develop arguments, persuade audiences, and partner with senior level stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective working relationships between governmental or semi-governmental bodies to resolve critical physical interface issues between the project and existing utilities.
Requirements:
- A degree in an urban planning & design, engineering or a construction discipline is required.
- Minimum 7 years working in a regional, business and/or multi-stakeholder environment and demonstrated experience
- Experience working with local authorities and agencies in Oman
- Understanding and working knowledge of region and its cultural differences and political dynamics.
- Good command of both written and spoken Arabic
- Good Knowledge of Oman Governmental structure and departments.
- Strong project management skills, ability to effectively manage multiple overlapping tasks.
- Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, policies and positions, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external audiences.
- Candidates from Oman is preferred.
