  • Plan and implement strategies that enhance retail business
  • Set sales targets / budgets for the retail sales team and ensure achievement by offering promotional support or any assistance required
  • Ensure gross profitability of sales, minimizing on customer returns and promoting appliances of higher profitability
  • Organize clearance sales to sell aging and damaged inventory
  • Manage retail department’s expenses within limits budgeted
  • Assist the General Manager in improving the net profitability of the Division from Retail sales
  • Comply with Showroom checklist to ensure that outlets are attractive for customers
  • Coordinate with Division’s Marketing; implement effective advertising and merchandising programs to increase showroom traffic and sales
  • Ensure product rotation; new and seasonal products are displayed attractively at all times
  • Keep up to date on current new markets trends, competitive activities and pricing
  • Educate the sales team on Customer Satisfaction standards and implement them,  ensuring professional customer handling
  • Handle customer issues, follow-up their complaints; resolve complaints and build up satisfaction and loyalty
  • Define and update the processes and procedures which continuously improve performance and enhance customer convenience
  • Implement safety and security procedures that result in a better work environment
  • Establish and maintain smooth working relationships with other departments
  • Arrange training, knowledge and skill development programmes for staff on a regular basis. Identify and support weak workers with proper training and motivation tools
  • Develop and motivate weak performing employees with the required training
  • Monitor and measure individual employee performance, provide constructive feedback to employees on an ongoing basis as needed and during the formal appraisal process, communicating management’s expectations

Requirements

  • Graduate in Business Studies with 7 – 10 years’ experience in Retail sales / Marketing
  • Excellent management, communication & negotiation skills
  • High leadership qualities
  • Computer literate
