Design solutions to drive safe living and quality of life

The purpose of this job is to lead or implement engineering solutions, both complex and standard, with a focus on one aspect of a larger project. This could involve areas like ESD (electrostatic discharge). The goal is to successfully complete the project within the allotted time and budget while ensuring the required quality standards are met. The job may also involve direct interaction with customers to address design details for non-standard solutions. Additionally, the role includes providing technical coaching and mentoring to an assistant and actively sharing knowledge with other engineers in the team. The job is also responsible for supporting project implementation in alignment with objectives related to profitability, customer satisfaction, schedule adherence, working capital, and safety performance, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
• Produces part(s) of functional design specifications under supervision.
• Produces (parts of) detailed design specifications.
• Executes work assignment to appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Test & Documentation)
• Coaches and supports assigned engineer(s) to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work. 
• Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan.
• Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
• Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
• Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
• Reports progress and technical problems and/or changes to project lead engineer or principal engineer.

Education Required

• Bachelors’ degree in engineering preferred
• NBA accredited degree and college is preferred. 
• Appropriate technical qualification for role 
• Six Sigma Certification
• TUV Certification (Preferred)
• Work Experience Required
• Project experience as Engineer with Honeywell Safety Manager.
• Design and Functional experience in ESD & FGS discipline. 
• 7-8 years of applicable project experience.
• With Min. 5 Years Site Commissioning Experience.
• Hand-on Experience in HMI Web and Station.
• Experience in Experion server Configuration, C300 & RTU Application and Other 3rd Party System Interface will be added Advantage.
• Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required 
• Safety Discipline qualification and certification
• Systems Qualification and Certification
• Working Knowledge of MS Office
