Overview

As a recognized company expert in the chemical business, IK Liquids to Chemicals Development is developing the production, shipping, and marketing of low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia as an alternative route-to-market for our oil and gas resources. The petrochemical integration and optimization specialist will join the Corporate Engagements Coordination Division, which is responsible for establishing a clear stakeholder and functional organization interface plan. The candidate’s primary role as an integration and optimization specialist is to ensure good integration across the various LTC projects and individual units, with a focus on integration and optimization opportunities to improve the project’s economics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improving LTC program economics
  • Addressing opportunities relating to integrating the hydrocarbons that are transferred between a refinery and a petrochemical facility This would be at different levels, including within the same complex and/or with other neighboring facilities.
  • Optimize Refinery Process Flow and Fuel Blending
  • Optimize Steam Cracking Feed Selection, Process Flow, and Configuration
  • Optimize Aromatics Feed, Products, and Recovery
  • Indicate process interactions at the refinery/chemical plant interface.
  • Conduct techno-economic evaluations.
  • Participate in hazard operability (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) studies as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related An advanced degree is preferred.
  • at least fifteen years of experience in refining and petrochemical process units, including at least five years in integration and optimization.
