The marketing director will craft the marketing strategy, hire the required talents to execute it neatly, then go above and beyond in positioning Marn’s brand at the warmest place in our clients’ hearts. The Marketing Director will manage Marn’s entire marketing efforts and become a pillar to the growth of the company.

As the Marketing Director, you are expected to have a well-established career in marketing management with B2B businesses operating in the GCC region. You should be able to guide us on the best course of action to promote Marn’s brand with the minimum possible resources. The goal is to speak to our targeted segments’ desires & ambitions while eliminating their fears & concerns. That wouldn’t be possible without building a strong personal connection between Marn’s entire marketing team and our customer segment. So, expect to roll up your sleeves from time to time and go on a wondering adventure to make new friends within Marn’s customer segment in order to refresh your closeness with Marn’s customer segment.

Besides your superior marketing skills, you will manage many teams so you should have a heavy arsenal of leadership tools. Here at Marn, we believe that people are our most valuable asset. As the Marketing Director, you will influence a large number of people working under your supervision. Proven leadership, mentorship, and talent acquisition skills are a must for this role. Moreover, Marn is a company that grows rapidly and we are too hungry to settle so we are always pushing the needle towards bigger growth. This means everyone is busy doing something impactful. Within such an environment, you should be able to demonstrate a strong sense of ownership to be comfortable working without direct supervision and have the ability to make critical decisions solely.

About Marn:

Marn is a technology company established in 2017. It was acquired by Jahez International Group recently. The company develops Point of Sale (POS) software integrated with payment services to provide a one-stop solution for businesses in F&B, Retail, Entertainment, and Services. Marn grew massively in the past two years and continues to accelerate the growth of its customer base.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will be as close to Marn’s clients as their best friends. You will know Marn’s clients’ lingo, desires, ambitions, fears, challenges, and concerns. This requires field visits, surveys, and calls on a regular basis

  • You will invest the knowledge you have about Marn’s clients to craft a marketing strategy to further our efforts in positioning Marn as the best POS solution for SMEs in the region

  • Work with the executive management of Marn to align Marketing goals with the goals of the company

  • Define, recruit & headhunt the necessary talent to execute Marn’s marketing strategy

  • Act as a gradian and a key holder for Marn’s brand in all aspects of the company whether internally or externally

  • Manage and control Marn’s digital presence via our website, social media accounts, blogs, media content, etc.

  • Represent Marn in regional and global events like conferences and exhibitions

  •  Work towards spreading awareness of Marn in the GCC markets

  • Align with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure full harmony of Marn’s brand and market positioning

  • Develop Marn’s marketing department to be ready for the next phase of scalability beforehand

  • Capture the information received from prospects and leads to share with internal teams

  • Define OKRs and success measures for the various marketing teams and drive them toward a numbers-centric culture

Requirements & Skills:

  • Well-established experience in a managerial marketing position with a GCC B2B organization

  • Experience in crafting and executing marketing strategy in alignment with the company’s goals

  • Established leadership skills and project management

  • Ability to make critical decisions and accomplish goals with minimum supervision

  • Become a role model for Marn’s different teams

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills in both Arabic & English

  • Excellent people skills

  • Passion to challenge the norms of marketing

  • The thirst to WIN in a very competitive market
