Job Summary

Our Client a 5* star hotel based in KSA – Jeddah
 

Job Description:

 

  • Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks

 

  • Oversee staff on a daily basis

 

  • Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness

 

  • Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence

 

  • Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards

 

  • Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job

 

  • Respond to customer complaints and special requests

 

  • Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves

 

  • Participate in large cleaning projects as required

 

  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas

 

Job Requirements:

Essential:

 

  • Passionate about a hygienic environment.

 

  • The ability to take the initiative and lead others.

 

  • Knowledge of the process of sterilizing equipment.

 

  • Effective interpersonal skills.

 

  • Previous Hotel experience desired.

 

  • Successful previous experience as housekeeping Assistant / Manager, consistently meeting standards.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

 

  • Proven ability to drive the housekeeping process to the highest standards.

 

  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.

 

  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.

 

  • Work experience as a housekeeping manager may be considered in lieu of appropriate certification.

 

  •  Ability to follow instructions, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required.

 

  • Ability to work independently, paying attention to details.

 

  • Proficiency in spoken and written business English.

 

  • Personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

 

  • Observant, discriminating, and detail-oriented.

 

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

  • Patience, a good listening ear, and confident communication.

 

  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

 

  • The ability to work as part of a team.

 

Desired:

 

  • Degree qualification from relevant university.

 

  • BS/MS degree in hospitality or a related field.
