Job Summary
Our Client a 5* star hotel based in KSA – Jeddah
Job Description:
- Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Oversee staff on a daily basis
- Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
- Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
- Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
- Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
- Respond to customer complaints and special requests
- Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves
- Participate in large cleaning projects as required
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
Job Requirements:
Essential:
- Passionate about a hygienic environment.
- The ability to take the initiative and lead others.
- Knowledge of the process of sterilizing equipment.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Previous Hotel experience desired.
- Successful previous experience as housekeeping Assistant / Manager, consistently meeting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the housekeeping process to the highest standards.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
- Work experience as a housekeeping manager may be considered in lieu of appropriate certification.
- Ability to follow instructions, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required.
- Ability to work independently, paying attention to details.
- Proficiency in spoken and written business English.
- Personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Observant, discriminating, and detail-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Patience, a good listening ear, and confident communication.
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
Desired:
- Degree qualification from relevant university.
- BS/MS degree in hospitality or a related field.
