Context

Veolia Middle East and Saudi Aramco agreed to form a partnership to establish a world-class Integrated Waste Management Facility that can efficiently, reliably, and economically treat waste for the drilling, refining, petrochemical, and other industries and for Saudi Aramco local communities. 

The Project called Oscar is located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia to primarily handle and process waste generated by Saudi Aramco’s operations in this area.

To reach this target, parties agreed to execute a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) in order to support the development of project.

Job Description

Main Accountabilities

The process manager will be responsible for overseeing the design of process packages

developed by the FEED contractor and managing the integration of those packages in a

performance plant as well as the interfaces between those packages and the balance of plant.

In this position, the process manager will ensure that all treatment systems are designed in

compliance with local regulations, contractual obligations, and best operating practices

applicable to such facilities.

Detailed Job Description

  • Provides comprehensive technical inputs to the FEED contractor throughout the design development phase.
  • Coordinates with internal process experts to ensure accurate inputs and assumptions are provided to the FEED contractor.
  • Reviews and evaluates the designed process and all associated technical documents to ensure compliance with project legal, environmental, operating, performance, and availability requirements.
  • Checks or organize the check of all produced process and process safety related documents, formulate comments and according to the agreed gives approval.
  • Participates in the selection process of Technology packages whenever requested by the FEED contractor.
  • Reviews and approves the selected Technology packages.
  • Assess the detailed design deliverables of the Technology packages.
  • Offers technical assistance during Hazop and other necessary studies throughout the FEED execution stage.
  • Checks the consistency of the utilities, ancillaries, balance of plant in term of heat & mass, utilities , storage volumes, process safety (Atex, firefighting, etc) particularly regarding the interfaces with the technology/licensors packages.
  • Checks the consistency of the whole.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated successful experience in the development and delivery of engineering for large and complex process projects,
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas industry or Chemical Industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Previous experience in Hazardousaste Industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work with an Electronic Documentation Management System
  • Ability to work with common Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tools, and the most common professional software (MS Project, Autocad, etc).
