Overview

***This position will be physically located in Qatar in support of LOGCAP.***

  • Under the supervision of the PWD Director/Sr. Manager, the scheduler/planner is responsible for developing and providing schedules for all projects being planned and performed for a large facility U.S. Government Operations and Maintenance program located in Qatar. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive

Responsibilities

  • According to PRC projects priorities, develops production schedule for all projects.
  • Produce schedules for fabrication, installation, and repair of all systems related to PRC projects.
  • Correlate project schedules to align with client forecasted master schedule.
  • Update client through accepted and sponsored software.
  • Analyzes production specifications and construction data and performs mathematical calculations to determine material, tools, and human resources requirements for the schedule.
  • Plans and develops workflow for each craft and operations according to the previously established client sequences and lead times.
  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other operations for guidance of construction workers.
  • Confer with PM and PRC management to determine status of projects.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares production reports.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience Requirements
    • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
      • High school diploma or equivalent education is
      • PMP certification
      • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
      • Must be a S. Citizen
    • Experience:
      • Six (6) years of verifiable experience scheduling facilities related renovation and construction.
      • Must be able to demonstrate good oral, written and listening.
      • Preferred background in military installation base support/infrastructure management.
    • Skills:
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Projects.
      • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
      • Excellent organizational and time management
      • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
      • Skilled computer skills, specifically Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.
      • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
      • Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
    • Physical Requirements:
      • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Working Conditions:
      • The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
      • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
