Job Description

Our client is a solution provider in the information technology & telecommunication sectors with a focus on the following service areas: IT Infrastructure Solutions, IT Managed Services, Cloud Enablement and Data Centre Infrastructure (including on-premises, public/private/or hybrid), Carrier-grade Telecom Infrastructure, Products and Solutions, Telecom Security, Lawful Intercept, and Fraud Prevention. They are operating offices in UAE, KSA and South Africa.

Job Summary:

They are looking for a UI/UX Designer to turn clients software / platforms into easy-to-use products.

As a UI/UX Designer, your responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.

Main Duties

Gather and evaluate customer requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers

Develop personas and usage scenarios

Create wireframes (mock-ups of applications), storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows

Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications

Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like

Proficiency in visual communication and finding creative ways to solve UX problems

Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders

Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback

Run user testing of applications, software and websites

Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback

Consider existing applications and evaluate their UX (user experience) effectiveness

Assist with content development

Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience

Communicate design ideas and prototypes to designers and developers

Skills

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, or related fields

Proven 3 years of experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role

Strong portfolio of design projects

Proficient in using wireframing and prototyping tools such as: UXPin, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, Figma,

InVision etc

Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Some knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus

Familiarity with digital/interaction design and information architecture

Experience with testing/troubleshooting skills

Experience working in Agile methodology

Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends

Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills

Good communication skills

Fluency in English language
