• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of sewage treatment plants.
  
• Ensure the plant is functioning efficiently, safely, and effectively by monitoring and analyzing plant operations, and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  
• Manage and supervise the work of plant staff, including plant operators and maintenance personnel.
  
• Train and instruct staff on safe work practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations, and local ordinances.
  
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including data on equipment performance, chemical usage, and other metrics.
  
• Maintain a high level of plant cleanliness and orderliness.
  
• Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and outside agencies as needed.
  
• Troubleshoot problems that arise during plant operations and work to find solutions.
  
• Prepare reports on plant operations, budgets, and other topics as needed.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
