Role Purpose

  • To plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. Will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
  • Control overview contractual Terms &Conditions and able measure schedule progress – performance – work progress on daily basis.
  • Creating internal and external reports pertaining to job status[HB1] .
  • Initiating Plan to prevent Construction problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Analyzing , manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  1. 12 years’ experience in a broad spectrum of engineering work including project management. Operations supervision experience highly desirable.
  2. Previous experience in responsible charge of planning, design, and implementation of water facilities and infrastructure projects.
  3. Strong understanding of the multi-disciplined practices (i.e. process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control) required for the planning, design, and implementation of water facilities and infrastructure project.

D. Must be able to express himself well in written and spoken English.

(Incumbent will be required to travel extensively and may be away from home for extended periods of time.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related construction management fields.
